William R. \nHeidenreich, 76, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed \naway on Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Butler Memorial \nHospital, where he fought a courageous battle with \ncancer. \n\nHe was born April 26, 1944 in Butler, Pennsylvania \nto the late Willard R. Heidenreich and the late \nAgnes Shimmel Heidenreich. \n\nWilliam worked for Pullman Standard in the Paint \nShop for 25 years, he then worked at the VA retiring \nin 2006 as a carpenter. William built model trains, \nenjoyed fishing, hunting.and woodworking, and also \nwas a multi talented handy man. He especially loved \nhis children and grandchildren. William was a \nveteran of the United States Army serving in the \nVietnam Era. He was a member of Homeacre Chapel.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Dorothy Minehart \nHeidenreich whom he married on August 7, 1965, two \nsons, William J (Carrie) Heidenreich of Chicora, PA, \nand David A. (Becky) Heidenreich of Butler, PA; one \ndaughter, Carole (Jason) Sholes of Slippery Rock PA; \nsix grandchildren, Jay and Heather Sholes, Anna, \nLora,and Daniel Heidenreich and Brandon Bowline; one \nbrother, Thomas Heidenreich of Meridian, PA; several \nnieces and nephews. \n\nDue to the many restrictions imposed because of the \nCoronavius there will be no public visitation.\n\nA private service was held with Reverend David L. \nFisher of Homeacre Chapel, officiating. \n\nA memorial service will be held at a later date. \n\nPrivate burial took place in the Butler County \nMemorial Park.
