Scott A. \nHankey, 53, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on \nJanuary 14, 2019 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.\n\n\nHe was born February 26, 1965 in Butler, \nPennsylvania to Ray Hankey and Etta Gray Hankey. \n\nScott was a graduate of the Butler School District. \nHe worked for the past 24 years in the Hilltop \nMaintenance Dept. at AK Steel. Scott was a member of \nChrist Community United Methodist Church. He enjoyed \ndirt track races, hunting, fishing, and other \noutdoor activities and he loved traveling to Myrtle \nBeach. Scott was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and \nloved spending time with his family.\n\nIn addition to his parents, he is survived by his \nwife, Laura Jack Hankey, whom he married on July 19, \n2016; son, Zane Hankey of Butler, PA; two daughters, \nNicholle (James) Schoonover of Boyers, PA, and \nDanielle (Tyler Weleski) Hankey of Butler, PA; \nstepson, Josh (Kelly) Wakeford of Youngstown, OH; \nstepdaughter, Kristen (Dylan) Wakeford of Columbus, \nOH; sister, Susan (John) Relihan of Chicora, PA; \nniece, Jaycee Relihan; and nephew, John Relihan. \n\nFriends will be received Friday, January 18, 2019, 2 \n- 4 & 6 - 8 pm at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, \nInc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.\n\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, January \n19, 2019, 1:00 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral \nHome Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with \nPastor Bruce Gascoine of Christ Community United \nMethodist, officiating.\n\nBurial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial \ndonations be made to St. Jude Children's Research \nHospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
