Ruth M. McKinney, 98, of \nSaxonburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 23, \n2022, at the Embassy of Saxonburg. \n\nShe was born July 10, 1924, in Chicora, Pennsylvania \nto the late Harry King and the late Ruth McGarvy \nKing.\n\nRuth graduated from Butler High School in 1942. She \nwas a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. \nRuth was a former member of the Bucco Travel Club. \nShe enjoyed sewing, knitting, and camping at the \nriver in the Kittanning area. Most of all Ruth loved \nspending time with her family, grandchildren, and \ngreat-grandchildren.\n\nRuth is survived by her daughter, Peggy Brewster, \nand her husband, Burt, of Chicora, PA; six \ngrandsons; numerous great grandchildren; and several \nnieces and nephews. \n\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in \ndeath by husband, Eugene E. McKinney, who she \nmarried on September 12, 1946, and passed away on \nDecember 25, 2010; one daughter, Carol A. McKinney; \none son, Mark D. McKinney; two brothers; and one \nsister.\n\nFriends will be received Friday, October 28, 2022, \nfrom 1:00 p.m. to 4:00, with service following at \n4:00 p.m. at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., \n124 East North Street Butler, PA, with Rev. Leigh \nBenish of Hill United Presbyterian Church, \nofficiating.\n\nA private burial will take place in the Greenlawn \nBurial Estates.
