Ronald William Lockwood, 85, of Emlenton, PA \nformerly of Pittsburgh, passed away December 31, \n2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.\n\n\n\nBorn July 27, 1936, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the \nson of the late Arthur William and Cecelia (Hundertmark) \nLockwood.\n\n\n\nHe was a graduate of Baldwin High School, The Art \nInstitute of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of \nPennsylvania.\n\n\n\nRonald was a Veteran. He served as a medic in the US \nNavy from 1954 - 1958.\n\n\n\nRonald taught English at Butler Junior and Senior \nHigh Schools. He was the Principal of Karns City \nHigh School. He was the supervisor of Student \nTeachers at Clarion University, Clarion, PA. He was \nalso the Mayor of Cherry Valley, PA from 1971 to \npresent and presided over many weddings.\n\n\n\nRonald memberships included the Vice Chairman of the \nButler Parks and Recreation Association, the Butler \nLittle Theater as an actor, director, producer and \nboard member.\n\n\n\nHe enjoyed travel both domestic and internationally, \nhiking through his woods and his Love of dogs. He \ncould be counted on adopting any dogs that came his \nway throughout his life.\n\n\n\nHe is survived by his brother: Robert M. Lockwood \nand his wife Barbara of Melbourne Beach, FL.; \nNephews: Robert M and David A. Lockwood; Great \nNieces: Cecelia and Karina Lockwood; Great Nephews: \nCarter R. and Colin R. Lockwood; Longtime Friend \nRobert Harrison who was with him through this last \nhospitalization.\n\n\n\nFamily and friends are invited to a visitation on \nMonday from 1:00-3:00 PM and 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the \nThompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North \nStreet, Butler, PA 16001.\n\n\n\nA funeral service will be Monday at 7:00 PM at the \nfuneral Home.\n\n\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be \nmade to the Butler Little Theater, 1 Howard Street, \nButler, PA 16001.
