Ronald Joseph (Ron) Braun, age \n90 of Renfrew, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, \nFebruary 27, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his \nfamily .\n\nBorn December 10, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the \nson of the late Joseph J. Braun and Agnes (Teschke) \nBraun.\n\nRon graduated from New Castle High School in 1950, \nand honorably served as a member of the United \nStates Army during the Korean Conflict.\n\nHe was baptized into the Catholic Faith, and also \nfaithfully attended St. Andrews U.P. Church in \nButler.\n\nRon was employed for 41 years by Bell Telephone. He \nwas a member of The American Legion, BPOE Elks, and \nparticipated in various bowling and golf leagues. \nRon was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.\n\nHe was the loving husband of Joanne Braun for 33 \nyears since marriage in 1988. Ron was the father of \nMargie (Terry) Manuel of Ambridge, Rich Braun of \nButler, David Braun of Mercer, and his \nstep-daughters, Dee (Dickie) Baker, and Mary Jo \n(Chuck) Oberste of Arkansas. Ron was the proud \ngrandfather of one grandson, Nathan (Amber) Manuel \nof Allison Park, and anticipated the birth of his \nfirst great grandchild in July.\n\nRon is also survived by his brother-in-law, Don \nLewis of Pulaski and nieces Linda Meyers, and Debbie \n(Jerry) Farrell, and his nephew Donnie (Debbie) \nLewis.\n\nRon is also survived by the mother of his children, \nMarge Bankert of Butler and numerous other nieces \nand nephews.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine \nLewis of Pulaski. \n\nFriends will be received at the Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, \nPennsylvania on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 \np.m.-3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\n\nServices are private. Military honors will be \nprovided by the Butler Veterans Honor Guard.\n\nInterment will follow in Butler County Memorial \nPark.\n\nRon's family would like to extend their sincere \nappreciation and gratitude to the members of VNA, \nWestern Pennsylvania Home Health and Hospice, \nButler, PA for their excellent support and care, and \nsuggests that donations be made to them in memory of \nhim, in lieu of flowers.
