Ronald "Ron" L. Anderson, 71, \nof Prospect, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 2, \n2020 at the Butler Memorial Hospital of Cancer. \n\nHe was born November 3, 1948 in Butler, Pennsylvania \nto the late Lenard Leroy Anderson and the late \nEunice Grace Callihan. \n\nRon worked for Fuelgraft Electric, Stauff \nCorporation, and US. Hydro. He was the owner and \noperator of Appalachian Trails from 1992 to the \npresent day. Ron is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, \nwhere he served during Vietnam. He especially loved \nspending time with his grandkids at camp and \ncarrying firewood to keep him warm. Ron enjoyed \nfishing and hunting. \n\nRon is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Timothy) \nMichel of Grove City, PA; two grand-daughters, \nAbriella Michel, Joella Michel; three sisters, Linda \n(Bob) Stiener of Chicora, PA, Karen (Rick) Long of \nChicora, PA, Cindy Crispin of Fenelton, PA; two \nbrothers, Tom (Connie) Anderson of Butler, PA, Donny \nAnderson of Butler, PA; and several nieces and \nnephews. \n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby wife, Susan G. Anderson, who he married on July \n2, 1977 and who passed away on August 13, 2019; and \none daughter, Jessica "Jess" Anderson, who passed \naway in July 25, 2016; one brother, Lenny Anderson; \nthree sisters, Deb Williams, Kim Anderson, and Diane \nAnderson.\n\nFriends will be received Monday, June 8, 2020, 4:00 \npm - 7:00 pm at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, \nInc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Due to \nCovid-19 State Guidelines, visitors are asked to \nwear facial covering and maintain social distancing. \nPlease provide your own facial covering.\n\nA graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, \n2020, 10:00 am at the Gruenwald Cemetery, \nBonniebrook Road Butler, PA, with Pastor Barbara \nLove, officiating.\n\nMemorials are suggested to the Moraine Preservation \nFund, 118 North Shore Drive, Portersville, PA 16051.
