Robert N. \n"Windy" Winrader, 83, of Butler, Pennsylvania, \npassed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his \nresidence.\n\nHe was born May 7, 1935 in Butler, Pennsylvania to \nthe late Howard Winrader and Bertha Neely Winrader.\n\n\nMr. Winrader worked in quality control at Magnetics \nin East Butler, retiring in 1997. He was a veteran \nof the United States Army Reserve and the National \nGuard. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, \nenjoying the outdoors as well as boating. He was a \nfan of the Steelers, enjoyed watching fireworks over \nPullman Park from his front porch, reading the \nnewspaper, working on cars, doing handy work around \nhis home, his dog Winston and spending time with his \nfamily.\n\nHe is survived by his four sons, Bradley Winrader \nand his wife Diane of Slippery Rock, PA, Rob \nWinrader of West Hollywood, CA, Brian Winrader of \nButler, PA and Scott Winrader of Butler, PA; two \ndaughters, Vicki Winrader of Zelienople, PA and Lisa \nJohnson and her husband Jerry of Butler, PA; five \ngrandchildren, Janice "Nicole" Doan, Kristen Leslie \nand her husband Nick, Joelle Grossman and her \nhusband Tyler, Ashley Johnson, and Cody Johnson; \nthree great-grandchildren, Rachel Leslie, Ryan \nLeslie and Lucas Doan; and a number of nieces and \nnephews. \n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby his wife, Judith Ann "Judy" Rensel Winrader, whom \nhe married on June 15, 1955 and who passed away on \nJanuary 27, 2014; two sisters, Vivian Paul and \nVirginia Myers; and three brothers , Eugene and \nCharles Winrader and Howard Winrader Jr who is MIA \nfrom the Korean War. Bob always held out hope that \nHoward's remains would be returned to his family.\n\nThe family would like to acknowledge and thank Scott \nWinrader for his loving care of Bob, which enabled \nhim to remain at home. The family would also like to \nthank Vitas Hospice for their kindness in caring for \nBob, especially his nurse and friend, Sara Rodgers.\n\nThere will be no public visitation or funeral \nservices. \n\nInterment will take place in the Butler County \nMemorial Park.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donation are suggested \nto Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, One East \nWacker Drive, Suite 2810, Chicago, IL 60601-1905 or \nto Vitas Hospice 2009 Mackenzie Way Ste 110, \nCranberry Twp, PA 16066.\n\nArrangements are being handled by the \nThompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North \nStreet, Butler, PA 16001.
