Richard W. \n(Scotty) Scott, 80, of Cabot, Pennsylvania, passed \naway peacefully on October 4, 2019 at the Good \nSamaritan Hospice at Concordia. \n\nHe was born March 18, 1939 in Butler, Pennsylvania \nto the late Edward Scott and the late Garnet Bauman \nScott. \n\nScotty worked in the Maintenance Department at \nMarmon/Keystone, retired in April 2000 after 29 \nyears of service. He was a member of Cabot United \nMethodist Church. Scotty was a veteran of the United \nStates Air Force.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Janet Scott whom he \nmarried on July 16, 1983; daughters, Cindy (Barry) \nCarson of Boyers, and Chris Goines of Grove City; \nstepdaughter, Pam (Duck) Keller of Freeport; \nstepsons, Harry (Deb) Carson, Jr. of Freeport, and \nJeff (Kerri) Carson of Alva, FL; 11 grandchildren; \n26 great grandchildren; brother, Roy (Joni) Scott of \nButler; sisters-in-law, Gail Scott of Herman, and \nMarsha (Ron) Weleski of Butler, and many nieces and \nnephews.\n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby infant daughter, Jill Elaine Scott; grandson, \nJohn Spinetti; brothers, Ed and Rodney Scott; \nsisters, Georgia Luchkiw and Beverly Haley.\n\nFriends will be received Monday, October 7, 2019, \nfrom 3- 7 pm at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, \nInc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.\n\nFuneral services will be held immediately following \nat 7:00 pm with Pastor Jack Hartman, officiating.\n\nPrivate burial will take place in the Greenlawn \nBurial Estates.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Good \nSamaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA \n16023.
