With sorrowful rejoicing \nthe family of Rhoda Jean (Freehling) Huber, age 91, \nannounces her homegoing to meet the Savior, she has \nloved for nearly 83 years, on Friday, February 25, \n2022. \n\nRhoda was born March 9, 1930, to Helen (Meeker) \nFreehling and Alvin Freehling in Cabot, Pa. She was \nthe last leaf on her family tree.\n On May 12, 1949, she \nmarried Floyd Huber in Butler, and they shared 65 \nyears of life together until September 15, 2014. \nThey raised 4 children who survive her: Renee \n(Christopher), Michael (Lynn), Matthew (Carla), and \nAndrea (Russell). They were blessed with 9 \ngrandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. One of the \nblessings of Rhoda's life was to be a wife and \nmother, and later grandmother and great-grandmother. \nShe was preceded by her parents, husband, and \nbrother, and is also survived by numerous nieces and \nnephews.\n\nRhoda graduated from Butler High School and worked \nin the office until her marriage. With her children \ngrown, she returned to the labor force, eventually \nretiring from Community Alliance Church, in Butler, \nPA\n\nOne of Rhoda's passions and gifts was teaching, \nespecially teaching the Bible, which she did as \noften as she was able. \n\nPrivate burial service will be held at Greenlawn \nBurial Estates. \n\nFriends will be received on Friday, April 8, 2022, \nfrom 12:00 P.M. until the time of the Celebration of \nLife service at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Alliance \nChurch, to be conducted by the Rev. Michael Huber \nand Rev.
