Margaret Eva "Peggy" \nSteele, 59, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on \nJanuary 31, 2014 at 10:25 p.m. at the Butler \nMemorial Hospital. \n\nShe was born February 2, \n1954 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Richard \nKing Steele and Mabel Arabelle "Belle" (Gray) \nSteele. \n\nPeggy was a graduate of \nSlippery Rock High School, then went on to earn her \nteaching degree at Baptist Bible College, Clark \nSummit, PA. She worked as an elementary teacher at \nSharon Christian School, Sharon, PA and at First \nBaptist Christian School in Butler, PA. Peggy \nvolunteered many years in the craft hut at Slippery \nRock Baptist Camp and in recent years volunteered as \nthe Elementary Librarian at First Baptist Christian \nSchool. She was an active member of the First \nBaptist Church, where she taught the Tiny Tots and \nwas involved in the church's Missionary outreach. \nPeggy made a difference in many of her students \nlives over the years. She had a giving heart to her \nstudents, her church family and to her own family.\n\nMiss Steele is survived by \ntwo brothers, Richard Kay Steele of Butler, PA and \nRev. Karl Steele and his wife Sarah of Orviston, PA; \none sister, Mary (Steele) Kuhn and her husband Mark \nof Columbus, OH; ten nieces & nephews; and several \ngreat-nieces & nephews. \n\nThere will be no public \nvisitation. \n\n\n\nArrangements are being \nhandled by the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., \n124 East North Street, Butler, PA.\n\n\n\nIn Lieu of Flowers, \nMemorial Donations may be made to the Library at \nFirst Baptist Church, 221 W.
