Linda J. \nOchs, 78, of Butler, PA, passed away the afternoon \nof Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Chicora Medical \nCenter.\n\nLinda was born to Gilbert and Florence Rieger on \nJanuary 31, 1942. She grew up and went to school in \nButler, and continued on to work as a cook at \nvarious establishments in and around Butler over the \nspan of 3 decades. She was a talented cook and \nbaker, and always loved sharing her talents with \nfriends and family. Her humor, kindness, and loving \nspirit were a blessing to anyone she came into \ncontact with. She was never shy about sharing her \ncompassion and sweet, understanding nature with \nanyone crossing her path.\n\nLinda is survived by her two sons, Greg Ochs of Ohio \nand David W. Ochs and his wife Susan of Tennessee. \nShe is survived by grandchildren: Gregory Ochs and \nAmanda Ochs of Ohio and Abbygail, Bennett, and \nBlaise Ochs of Tennessee. Additionally, she leaves \nbehind her loving sisters-in-laws, Suzie and Eileen \nRieger and friends along with her nephew Danny, and \nniece Nichole whom she always adored.\n\nLinda is preceded in death by her parents and her \nbrothers, Gilbert Rieger, Jr. and James Rieger, whom \nshe deeply cherished. She recently lost her very \nclose, devoted and long-time companion, George \nBonnett.\n\nLinda's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks \nto the caring nurses and staff at Quality Life \nServices of Chicora and the local VNA for the very \nkind and professional support over the past several \nmonths.\n\nAccording to Linda's wishes, there will not be a \nvisitation or services. She will be laid to rest at \nGreenlawn Burial Estates. \n\nArrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home.
