Obituary - \nLeslie R Moyer, Jr.\n\nLeslie R. Moyer, Jr., 86, of State College, PA. \npassed away Sunday, May 15,2022 at Concordia \nLutheran Ministries in Cabot PA.\nBorn June 19,1935 in Johnstown \nPA., he was the son of the late Leslie R. Moyer, Sr. \nand the late Sarah M. (Shannon) Moyer.\nLes was a graduate of State \nCollege Area High School, where he was a member of \nFFA, played varsity football, and wrestled.\nLes was a veteran of the US Naval Reserves, after \nwhich he joined Centre Circuits (later Chemcut) in \nState College. He continued to work in Technology \nsales for several firms throughout his career, \nretiring to live in the State College area. A \nlifelong supporter of Penn State football, Les took \ngreat pride in ushering at Beaver Stadium for over \n50 years.\nLes was a member of the State College Presbyterian \nChurch, where he served many years as a Deacon, and \nsang in the choir. He enjoyed woodworking and \ntinkering on his cars.\nSurviving are his wife of 67 \nyears, Margaret "Peggy" (Myers) Moyer; son Michael \nMoyer; daughter Pamela Behrend; both of whom reside \nin Pittsburgh; six grandchildren: Kenneth, Abigail, \nJames, Emily, Kimberly, and Andrew; five \ngreat-granddaughters and one great-grandson; and two \nsisters: Sharon Brooks of Runville PA, and Linda \nCallison of Red Lion, PA.\nHe was preceded in death by \nhis parents and a brother, Arthur Moyer of Lemont \nPA.\nLeslie will be remembered by \nfamily and friends as a kind, considerate man, with \na great sense of humor, and love for his family.\nThere will be no public \nviewing; a Celebration of Life will be held at a \nlater date in State College.\nThompson-Miller Funeral Home \nof Butler, PA. is assisting the family with their \narrangements. \nIn lieu of \nflowers, memorial contributions may be made to State \nCollege Presbyterian Church at 132 W. Beaver, State \nCollege PA 16801, in memory of Leslie R. Moyer, Jr.
