Kenneth E. Vogt, Sr., 81, of \nButler, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 6, \n2020 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. \n\nHe was born September 20, 1939 in Bradys Bend, \nPennsylvania to the late Homer G. Vogt, Sr. and the \nlate Thelma E. Seybert Vogt. \n\nKenneth was an underground miner working as a \nforeman for various mining companies. He was a \nveteran of the United States Army as a MP's. He was \na member of the Latrobe Lodge #275 F& AM, and also a \nmember New Castle Consistory. He was a 32 degree \nMason where he was a 50 year member. And also a \nmember of the American Legion Post #0778 of Lyndora, \nPA. Also Kenneth was a member of Trinity Lutheran \nChurch.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Shirley J. Vogt whom he \nmarried on July 28, 1962; one daughter, Connie S. \nMatlosz and her husband Henry of Orange, CA; one \nson, Kenneth E. Vogt, Jr and his fiance Mary Clark \nof Butler, PA; two grandsons, Tanner Vogt and Levi \nVogt and his wife Jordan; one brother, Richard L. \nVogt and his wife Mona of Myersdale, PA; one sister, \nEsther Wood and her husband Alan of White Haven, \nPA;, one sister-in-law, Emma Vogt of KY, and a \nnumber of nieces and nephews. \n\nIn addition to his parents he, was preceded in death \nby two brothers, John A. Vogt, and Homer G. Vogt, \nJr., one sister, Betty Jean Vogt.\n\nThere will be no public visitation.\n\nPrivate funeral services were held with Pastor Joel \nBenson, officiating.\n\nPrivate burial will take place in the Gruenwald \nCemetery.\n\nMemorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran \nChurch, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
