Katherine "Cappy" Harper \nDanielson of Butler, Pennsylvania died peacefully on \nMarch 23rd, 2020 surrounded by her family following \na courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.\n\nShe was born October 28, 1939 in East Orange, New \nJersey, to Fred and Annette Harper whom preceded her \nin death. \n\nCappy is survived by her three children, Holly (Jay) \nMiller of Sewickley; Amy (William) Reik of Sarasota, \nFlorida; and David (Amy) Cook of Hampton. She is \nalso survived by her ten grandchildren; James \n(Lauren), Tyler, Duncan, Chadwick, Haley, Trey, \nChase, Harper, Allison, Megan; three \ngreat-grandchildren Mason, Weston, and Hudson; and \nthe-one-and-only Michael "Mickey" Haley. Later in \nlife, Cappy enjoyed an adoring partnership with Tom \nSmith and his loving family, son Tommy, daughter \nJayne, and grandchildren Macie and Braden. \n\nCappy lived a full life actively working until she \nwas 78 years young and will miss her many friends in \nreal estate and interior design in the region. Those \nwho knew her well know Cappy's legacy is marked by \nher immense heart for those in need and endless \ncompassion for her friends and family. Cappy was an \navid golfer and enjoyed her regular Tuesday's at Two \ngatherings, playing bridge, travel, and of course \nher favorite food - bacon! Cappy was a lifelong \nmember of the United Methodist Church in Butler, an \n18 year member of Butler Elk's Lodge, proud member \nof the Non-Member Club, former member of the Butler \nCountry Club and could often be seen at various \nShrine dinners and dances around town. \n\nThe family will plan a memorial service and \ncelebration of life at a future date. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cappy's \nmemory to support patient care at UPMC Hillman \nCancer Center at 412-623-4700 or to the Shriners \nHospitals for Children - Erie, 1645 W. 8th Street \nErie, PA 16505.
