Karen L. Duncan, 68, of \nButler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, \nFebruary 25, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospice. \n\nShe was born October 20, 1951 in Pittsburgh, \nPennsylvania to the late Eleanor Stenger Lakeman and \nher late step-father, Kenneth Lakeman.\n\nKaren graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in \n1969. She worked as an Executive Assistant to the \nCEO of Girl Scouts of Western PA, retiring in 2013, \nafter 23 years of service. Karen was a member of \nGirl Scouts of Western PA. \n\nKaren is survived by her three daughters, Lisa \nDuncan of Butler, PA, Danielle Duncan of Lexington, \nKY, Dorene (Stephen) Sommers of Fairview, PA; one \ngrandchild, Malia Sommers; two brother-in-laws, \nDaniel Duncan of Houston, TX, Richard Duncan of \nSharon, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. \n\nIn addition to her mother and step-father, she was \npreceded in death by her husband, William L. Duncan \nwho she married on September 14, 1984, and who \npassed away on March 5, 2014; and one \nbrother-in-law, David Duncan.\n\nFriends will be received Saturday, February 29, 2020 \nfrom 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson - Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, \nPA. A funeral service will follow the visitation at \n1:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., \n124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev.
