John B. \n"Jack" Stauffer, 100, of Butler, Pennsylvania, \npassed away on December 8, 2022, at the Lowrie \nHouse. \n\nHe was born August 8, 1922, in Butler, Pennsylvania \nto the late John A. Stauffer and the late Alene \nBovard Stauffer. \n\nJack made his living as an interior painter and \nwallpaper hanger. He has worked in many of the homes \nin Butler. Jack was a lifetime member at Meridian \nPresbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. \nNavy, serving in WWII. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, \nand reading.\n\nJack is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. \nSkornicka and her husband, Al, of Canfield, OH; and \none son, Thomas A. Stauffer and his wife, Callista, \nof Akron, OH.\n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby his wife, Ellen M. Stauffer, who he married on \nAugust 30, 1946, and who passed away August 21, 2019 \nafter 73 years of marriage; and his oldest son, John \nH. Stauffer, who was a Marine veteran serving in \nVietnam. He passed away in September of 2021.\n\nAs per his wishes, there will be no public \nvisitation.\n\nA private funeral service was held at the \nconvenience of the family.\n\nThe burial was held at Butler County Memorial Park.\n\n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to \nMeridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., \nButler, PA 16001.
