John Wilbert Pickerd, 75 of \nButler, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the \nButler Memorial Hospital.\n\n\nBorn November 17, 1946, in Butler, PA. He was the \nson of the late John and Shirley (Bobst) Pickerd.\n\n\nJohn was a graduate of Butler High School. He was a \nVeteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam.\n\n\n\nHe was employed as a supervisor engineering at the \nButler VA retiring in 2008.\n\n\nJohn was a lifetime member of the DAV. He enjoyed \nhunting in his early years, fishing and using his \nhands for building anything he put his mind too. \nJohn loved spending time with his family especially \nhis grandchildren.\n\n\nSurviving is his wife of 27 years Ruthann (Dean) \nPickerd of Butler; Daughter: Amber Connor and her \nhusband Josh of Smethport, PA; two sons: Dwight \nBoddorf and Kathy Wolfe of Pittsburgh; John Pickerd \nof Butler, PA; Second Sons: Jamie Shanor and wife \n(Megan) of Rochester, PA; Jason Shanor of Beaver, \nPA; three grandchildren: Kaydan, Michaela and Alex; \ntwo sisters: Judy Voelker and husband Roger of \nButler, PA; Cheryl Hays of Butler; special friends: \nWalter Ammon of Harrisville, Pa and Jeff Haugh and \nhis wife Crystal of Butler, PA. \n\n\nHe was preceded in death by his Parents; two \nbrothers: Larry and Frank Pickerd.\n\n\nFamily and friends are invited to a visitation \nTuesday, July 5, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM the time \nof service at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., \n124 E.
