Jean L. Laskey, 78, of \nRenfrew, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 3, 2019 \nat the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia \nsurrounded by her loving family. \n\nShe was born January 14, 1941 in Butler, \nPennsylvania to the late Jack Ordy and the late Ann \nGrinnik Ordy.\n\nJean was a homemaker. She also did data entry at \nPenreco. Jean was a member of St. Fidelis Parish. \nShe and her husband were money collectors at the \nLenten Fish Fry at St. Fidelis Parish as well as \ncooks at the community dinners at St. Paul Church in \nButler, PA. She was an avid quilter. Jean was a \ntremendous supporter of her grandchildren and their \nsporting events. She and her husband were foster \nparents to 15 newborn/infant children. \n\nJean is survived by her husband, Walter W. Laskey, \nwho she married on June 23, 1962; one son, Jeffrey (Charie) \nLaskey of Cranberry Twp, PA; three daughters, \nJennifer Pepmeyer of Butler, PA, Joanne (Tim) Duncan \nof Evans City, PA, Jayni (Mike) Kaufman of Renfrew, \nPA; seven grandchildren, Tabatha (Eric Singer), Joe, Shelby, Jake, \nCorey, Abby, Nikki; four great grandchildren, Edan, \nAvery, Colten, Lillian; eight siblings, Pat "Mickey" \n(Andy) Potyka, Jack "Bo" (Brenda) Ordy, Richard \n"Pooch" (Patty) Ordy, Barbara "Babe" (Tom) Brown, \nRobert (Sharon) Ordy, Julie Moreland, Marvin (Diane) \nOrdy, Ron (Kim) Ordy; and a number of nieces and \nnephews. \n\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in \ndeath by one nephew.\n\nFriends will be received Wednesday, June 5, 2019, \n4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, \nInc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on \nThursday, June 6, 2019, 10:00 am at the St. Fidelis \nRoman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian, \nPA, with Fr. Will Wuenschel, officiating.\n\nMemorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan \nHospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
