Janice Louise Hetrick, 83, of \nButler, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord \nand Savior on August 24, 2021. \n\nJanice was born on May 2, 1938, in Butler to the \nlate Gustive Wilhem Keene and the late Amelia Edna (Schoentag) \nKeene. \n\nJanice was a graduate of Butler High School, and \nthen went to BMH School of Nursing, graduating as a \nRegistered Nurse. She was an RN in the BMH Emergency \nRoom until she retired in 2002. Following retirement \nshe worked for Fiorina Family Practice, and also \nsubstituted as a nurse in the Butler School \nDistrict. \n\nJanice had a personal relationship with Christ and \nleft a mark of her faith on all of us. She was a \nmighty warrior for the Lord and never gave up on a \nsingle soul. She loved and prayed for her family, \nand enjoyed spending time with them all. She was \nactive in Christian Women's Club, Stone Croft \nMinistries, church, mission trips, and various bible \nstudies. She loved shopping and Civil War history.\n\n\nJanice is survived by her husband William R. Hetrick \nwhom she married on September 4, 1959; two \ndaughters, Pam (Jeff) Miller, Lori (Bob) Kunkle; \nfour grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one \nsister, Lois (Carl) Myers; and several nieces and \nnephews. \n\nFriends will be received at Thompson-Miller Funeral \nHome, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler on Monday, \nAugust 30 from 1pm-3pm and 6pm-8pm. A funeral \nservice will be held on Tuesday, August 31 at 10am \nat Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Joe \nFloris, officiating. \n\nA private burial took place at Saxonburg Memorial \nCemetery. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made \nto the Missions Fund at Community Alliance Church, \n800 Mercer Road, Butler, PA 16001.
