Helen Louise (Young) \nFleeger, 83, passed away on January 15, 2022, at \nButler Memorial Hospital after a short illness.\n\nShe leaves behind her loving husband, Ronald Fleeger; \nher daughter, Kathleen (Fleeger) Edwards; and her \ngrandsons, Isaiah Edwards, and Josiah Edwards.\n\nHelen worked along side her husband for many years \noperating a greenhouse and later started her own \nflorist business. She was passionate about local \npolitics and became the first female supervisor in \nPenn Township, Butler county.\n\nLoving to keep busy, she went to work at Salvation \nArmy as manager at the Butler thrift store after her \nhusband's retirement. When she retired, Ron and she \nspent winters enjoying the Florida sun in Naples.\n\nHelen enjoyed traveling with her husband and \ndaughter around the United States and Canada. In \nlater years, she took cruises in the Caribbean and \nAlaska.\n\nReading, watching classic movies, and baking were \namong her favorite hobbies- especially baking. There \nwas never a time there wasn't freshly baked treats \nin her kitchen. \n\nShe will be missed greatly by her family and \nfriends.\n\nFriends will be received on Thursday, January 20, \n2022 at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc, 124 East \nNorth Street, Butler, PA from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.\n\n\nFuneral services will be held on Thursday, January \n20, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, \nwith Reverend Robert Edmundson, officiating. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, please make donations to South \nButler County Meals on Wheels, 1091 Pittsburgh Rd, \nValencia, PA, 16059-1925.
