Harry A. Savisky, 95 of Butler \npassed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Butler \nMemorial Hospital.\n\n\nBorn July 26, 1926 in McKeesport, PA, he was the son \nof the late Alex and Pearl (Spearnak) Savisky.\n\n\nHarry was a graduate of McKeesport High School. \nAfter graduation he was drafted in to the US Navy \nand served as a Radar Instructor at Treasure Island, \nSan Francisco, CA.\n\n\nAfter his time in the Navy, Harry attended and was a \n1950 graduate from Penn State University with a \ndegree in Electrical Engineering. While at Penn \nState, Harry was a member of the Marching Band and \nSigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.\n\n\nHe was employed as an Electrical Engineer and \nMarketing Director for Magnetics of Butler, PA for \n41 years until his retirement.\n\n\nHarry was a member of All Saints Parish at St Andrew \nRoman Catholic Church, Butler, PA. He was a loyal \nand dedicated Volunteer for over 60 years with the \nButler County Symphony Orchestra, including serving \nmultiple terms as President for the symphony board. \nHe was a supporter of the Arts and an avid \nwatercolor artist. Harry was known for his hand \npainted Christmas cards, and they are cherished by \nall today.\n\n\nHe was a Loving husband, father and grandfather and \nenjoyed cars, traveling, dancing, music, playing \nbridge and his poker club for over 40 years. He was \na daily crossword puzzle aficionado.\n\n\nSurviving is a son and daughter: Gregory W. Savisky \nand his wife Loretta of Butler; Diane L. Sekelsky \nand her husband Alan of Warrenton, VA; six \ngrandchildren: Jacob Savisky and his wife Ashley, \nKatresa Savisky, Jesse Savisky, Alec Sekelsky, Ellie \nSekelsky and Ian Sekelsky; two great grandchildren: \nHadley and Kenlin Savisky; also, several nieces and \nnephews.\n\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of \n18 years; Anne J. Savisky who died on July 8, 1973, \nand son, Harry Savisky who died on September 30, \n1985. Two brothers and two sisters also previously \npassed.\n\n\nFamily and friends are invited to a visitation on \nSunday, March 27, 2022, at Thompson-Miller Funeral \nHome, Inc., 124 E. North Street, Butler, PA 16001 \nfrom 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM.\n\n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will Celebrated on \nMonday, March 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at All Saints \nParish at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. \nMain Street Ext., Butler, PA 16001 with Rev.
