During the morning hours of \nMay 3, 2023, Greta Kaye (Billman) Monnie joined her \nbeloved husband, Richard Monnie, in their heavenly \nhome. Greta was born in Butler on March 28, 1935, to \nGeorge and Elsie Billman.\n\nGreta graduated Butler High School in 1954. She was \na member of the marching band, playing clarinet \nalong with her twin sister, Gerda. During her school \nyears, she worked at G.C. Murphy department store, \nand later she worked in the cafeteria at Butler \nSenior High.\n\nGreta and her husband were members of Faith \nFellowship Alliance Church. They served in many \ncapacities, but especially enjoyed leading the Adult \nFellowship Group - Organizing many trips and parties \nfor their church friends.\n\nGreta enjoyed traveling from a young age spending \nsummers in New York, and camping with the family. \nShe and Richard traveled to many states in our \ncountry - they saw most of them! When their children \nwere overseas in Germany and Japan, they enjoyed \nextended visits sightseeing with them. They spent a \nfew years living in Florida when Richard retired, \nbut returned home to care for their parents.\n\nGreta is survived by her 5 children, Deborah Clark, \nKaren Mayfield, Denise (Scott) McCormick, Donna \n(Joe) Cranmer, Douglas (Carol) Monnie, 8 \ngrandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was \npreceded in death by her parents - George and Elsie \nBillman, sisters - Sara Amerson, Wanda Dabill, and \nGerda Crowe, son-in-laws - Howard Clark and Coy \nMayfield.\n\nThe family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone \nat Good Samaritan Hospice who helped us care for her \nat her home. Their care was professional, \ncompassionate, and we are forever grateful.\n\nFriends will be received on Saturday, May 6, 2023, \nfrom 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service \nat noon at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 \nFaith Way, Butler, PA 16001 with Reverend Richard \nJenks, officiating.\n\nBurial will be made in Greenlawn Burial Estates.\n\nArrangements have been entrusted to Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 E.
