Gay O. Stewart, of Butler, \nentered the Church Triumphant on Thursday, July 14, \n2022, after a short illness. Gay was a woman of \nstrong faith and enjoyed volunteering at church and \nteaching Bethel Bible Series.\n\nGay graduated from Kittanning High School and \nKittanning Beauty School. She also directed \nadvertising campaigns for Armstrong Utilities, YWCA \nPresents Lecture Series, Intermediate League of \nButler, Butler Public Library, Junior Women's Club \nof Butler, and Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.\n\n\nGay lived for her grandchildren. She was their \nnumber one fan and supporter. She spent countless \nhours in the audience at the Little Theater, at gym \nmeets, at tennis matches, and at band concerts.\n\nGay is survived by her husband, Bill Stewart of \nButler, son and daughter-in-law, Jud and Michelle \nStewart, and daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Mark \nBrestensky, all of Butler, and five wonderful \ngrandchildren.\n\nA celebration of life will be held virtually on \nWednesday, July 20, at 2:00 pm at \nhttps://youtu.be/PI9RdJKP40U. \nIf you wish to honor Gay, the family requests \ndonations be made to Butler Meals on Wheels, 218 \nEast Jefferson Street, Butler, PA 16001.\n\nArrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, \nPA 16001.
