Fred D. \nThomas, 87, of Connoquenessing passed away \nTuesday, July 1, 2020.\n \nHe was \nborn December 24, 1932, in East Butler and was \nthe son of the late Harry and Martha (Gilbert) \nThomas. \nHe retired from Pullman Standard in 1982 and \nfrom Morgan Management Company in 2000. He also \nwas a lifetime member of the East Butler \nFiremans Club. \n \nHe is \nloved and will never be forgotten by daughters \nVal-Dean and her husband Randy Scott of Renfrew; \nCorinne and her husband Donald (Goldie) Gould of \nButler; sons Fred Thomas, Jr and his wife Terri \nof North Carolina; Devin Thomas and his wife \nCindy of Ellwood City. \nHe will be forever loved and missed by \ngranddaughters Shannon and her husband Ryan \nStevenson, their children Case and Hadley; \nBrittany Scott; Brandi Scott and her sons Jimi \nand Axl.\n \nAlso \nsurviving are an additional 10 grandchildren, 15 \ngreat-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.\n\nFred is also survived by a sister Sarah (Donald) \nBortmas; 2 brothers Harry Thomas and James \nThomas. 1 brother in law William (Alice) King.\n\nHe was proceeded in death by his wife Shirley \n(King) Thomas, daughter and son-in-law Michele \nand Arthur (Pete) Day. His parents, his sisters \nJanet (Leonard) Nocera, Mable (Eugene) Hays. \nBrothers Donald (Mary Lou) Thomas; George \n(Jeanine) Thomas; 3 sister-in-laws Beatice (Bea) \nThomas, Yvonne Edwards, Patricia (James) \nCallahan. 1 brother in law Alden King,and his \nmother in law Genevive King.\n \nFriends \nwill be received at Thompson - Miller Funeral \nHome, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on \nMonday, July 6, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 \np.m.. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, \nJuly 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ben \nOesterling, officiating.\n\nPrivate burial will take place in the Greenlawn \nBurial Estates.\n\nIn accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines \nmandated by the state of Pennsylvania, face \nmasks are required.
