Frank R. Springer, 81, of \nButler, PA, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, \nunder the care of Butler VA Community Living Center.\n\nBorn May 18, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son \nof the late Harry Springer and the late Maria \n(Rossi) Cunningham.\n\nFrank served his country honorably as a helicopter \nmechanic in the United States Army during the \nVietnam War. He owned and operated Springer Brothers \nClothing Stores and drove bus for 20 years. Frank \nwas a member of the American Legion Post #778 in \nLyndora and enjoyed spending his time swimming, \ngoing to the beach, traveling to Erie and working on \ncars. \n\nFrank is survived by his wife, Jeanie M. (Renwick) \nSpringer, whom he married on September 17, 1988, two \nsons: Scott R and Mark Springer, both of Butler; his \nstep-daughter: Michelle Trott of Baltimore, MD; two \ngrandchildren: Keri Ann and Larissa Springer; four \nstep-grandchildren: Lindsey and Casey Avery, and \nKory and Kyle Trott; his step-great granddaughter: \nLilly Thomas; two brothers: Edward and the late \nFlorence Cunningham and Robert Hefferin and his wife \nCarmella, both of New Castle, two sisters: Tish \nCunningham and her late husband Marius Nielsen of \nPittsburgh and Mary Lou Haybarger and her husband \nSamuel of New Castle, and numerous nieces and \nnephews.\n\nIn addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in \ndeath by his stepdaughter: Wendy Jean Russell; his \nsister: Anna Mae Springer and his brother: Harry \nKirk Springer.\n\nAll are invited to attend a memorial visitation for \nFrank on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 10-11 AM \nat Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North \nSt, Butler, PA 16001. A memorial service will \nimmediately follow at 11 AM with Pastor Joe Flores \nof Community Alliance Church officiating.
