Esther H. Sassone, 89, of \nButler, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 25, \n2021, at the Newhaven Court at Clearview. \n\nShe was born December 7, 1931, in Hartford, Ohio to \nthe late Carl Eugene Herr and the late Jennie Ellen \nHerr. \n\nEsther graduated from West Middlesex High School, \nEdinboro University with a Bachelors, and Slippery \nRock University with Masters in Elementary \nEducation. She was a member of North Main St. Church \nof God, where she was a member of the Keenagers \nSunday School. Esther enjoyed gardening, traveling, \nand vacationing. She liked doing arts and crafts.\n\nEsther is survived by her three sons, John Sassone \nof Latrobe, PA, Brady Sassone of Butler, PA, Ed \nSassone of Butler, PA; numerous grandchildren, \ngreat-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. \n\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in \ndeath by her husband, Leonard Sassone, who she \nmarried in June of 1955 and who passed away in 2010; \none brother, David; and one sister, Mary.\n\nThere will be no public visitation for Esther. \n\nA Celebration of Life Service to honor Esther's Life \nwill be held at a later date at the convenience of \nthe family.\n\nA private burial will take place in the North Side \nCemetery.\n\nMemorials are suggested to the charity of donor's \nchoice. \n\nArrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, \nPA 16001.
