Eric David \nLevin, 57, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away \npeacefully at 5:05 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at \nhis home surrounded by his family.\n\nBorn August 7, 1964 in Butler, PA, he was the son of \nthe late Bernard H. "Bernie" Levin and Marilyn B. \nLevin.\n\nEric was a 1982 graduate of Butler High School. He \nthen went on to attend Washington & Jefferson \nUniversity from 1982 - 1986. During his Junior year, \nhe spent a semester at American University. Upon \nearning his undergraduate degree, Eric attended the \nWidner University - Delaware Law School from \n1986-1989. He proudly practiced law in the Butler \ncommunity for 30 years. He found gratification \nhelping children and their families for 8 years, \nserving as the Juvenile Court Master. Eric was \nPresident of Congregation B'Nai Abraham Synagogue, a \nmember of the Center Twp. Baseball Association and \nhad sat on the Board of Directors for Irene Stacy. \nLike his father and brothers, he was a proud member \nof the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. Eric enjoyed \nbowling, black-jack, and all sports. Above all else, \nhe loved spending his time amongst family and \nfriends, especially his children.\n\nEric is survived by his wife, Michelle (Leff) Levin \nwhom he married on June 2, 1996; his 22 year old \ntriplets: Jordan, Marni & Kayla Levin, his 2 \nbrothers: Scott Levin and his wife Ronna of \nPittsburgh, PA and Joseph Levin of Butler, PA; his \nsister-in-law: Jackie Shear and her husband Howard \nof Pittsburgh, PA; his father-in-law Henry Leff of \nPittsburgh, PA; his nieces: Katy & Erica Levin and \nMargo Fischgrund and her husband Justin and his \nnephew: Brad Shear. Eric was a genuine friend to \nall, with an open and generous heart and a kind word \nfor everyone he met. If he met you one time, you \nwere a friend for life.\nIn addition to his parents, he \nwas preceded in death by his mother-in-law, \nHarriette Leff.\nAll are invited to attend a visitation for Eric on \nTuesday, July 19, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at \nCongregation B'Nai Abraham 519 N. Main Butler, PA \nwhere services will immediately follow with Cantor \nMichal Gray-Schaffer officiating.\n\nBurial will take place in the Congregation B'Nai \nAbraham Cemetery in Butler.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family has requested \nmemorial donations be made in Eric's honor to his \nbeloved Congregation B'Nai Abraham, 519 N. Main St. \nButler, PA 16001.
