Elmer L. \nLauster, 83, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on \nApril 25, 2020 peacefully surrounded by his family \nat home. \n\nHe was born March 9, 1937 in Butler, Pennsylvania to \nthe late Henry Raymond Lauster and Dorothy (Huselton) \nLauster.\n\nElmer worked for Armco for 38 years as a Furnace \nHeater where he retired in 1999. He was a member of \nThorncreek United Methodist Church but faithfully \nattended Summit Church.\n\nHe was a simple man who faithfully helped others \neveryday. Elmer was a member of the Victory Lodge \nNo. 694 F.& A.M..\n\nElmer is survived by his loving spouse of 64 years, \nJoanne who he married on June 11, 1955. One son, \nGary L. Lauster of Butler, PA; two daughters, Terry \n(Robert) Waite of Butler, PA and Michelle (Glenn) \nFarrell of Saxonburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Heath \nL. Lauster, Aaron (Erika) Waite, Malorye Joanne \n(Scott) Barlett, Dane Farrell, Leah (Justin) Reese, \nOlivia Lauster, Brecken Newton Farrell; five \ngreat-grand children, Kyle, Maeve, Declan, Finn, \nKane; one brother, Olyn R. Lauster of Butler, PA: \none sister-in-law, Sandra Winters of Butler, PA. \n\nIn addition to his parents he was preceded in death \nby his sister, Lois Mae (Lauster) Sutter, his \ngrandparents, John & Wilda Lauster and his \ndaughter-in-law, Kristen Lauster.\n\nDue to the many restrictions imposed because of the \nCoronavirus, there will not be a public visitation.\n\n\nA celebration of his life will be scheduled for a \nlater date at Summit Church.\n\nThompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North St., \nButler, PA 16001 is assisting the family with \narrangements. \n\nMemorial donations may be made in Elmer's honor to \nSummit Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler, PA 16002.
