Edward J. \nDoyle Jr., 67, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away \non December 23, 2020 at the Butler Memorial \nHospital. \n\nHe was born April 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, \nPennsylvania to Angeline (Floccari) Doyle and the \nlate Edward Doyle Sr. \n\nEd was a 1971 graduate of Penn Hills High School. He \nthen graduated from Penn State University as an \nundergrad student, then received a master's degree \nfrom La Roche College, Bachelor of Arts in \nAnthropology and a Master of Human Resources \nManagement. He worked for Ametek for 20 years and \nopened Up-N-Running a Specialty Running and Walking \nCenter with locations in Valencia and Ebensburg, PA \nin 2004 retiring in 2017. Ed was on the Board of the \nKnoch Foundation, active in the running community, \ncoached his children's youth soccer teams, Champion \nof Glade Run Lake Conservancy, and race director of \nSaxonburg running series. He was an avid runner, \nenjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fly fishing, wood \ncarving and scrimshaw. Ed was a guitar player and a \nMartin Guitar enthusiast. He enjoyed fine beer and \nbourbon, PSU Football and Penguins Hockey. Ed loved \nspending time at his cabin in the woods in Bedford \nCounty with his family.\n\nEd is survived by his wife Carol (Truschel) Doyle \nwhom he married on February 4, 1978, two sons, \nPatrick (Abby) Doyle of Pittsburgh, PA, and Kevin \n(Julie) Doyle of Ebensburg, PA; two daughters, \nLindsey (Chris) Kelley of Evans City, PA, and Bonnie \nDoyle of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, \nMadeline, Miles, Emmett, Caitlin and Finnegan; one \nbrother, John (Judy) Doyle of Oakdale, PA; one \nsister, Susan (Thomas) Costa of Ellicott City, MD; \n12 nieces; and 16 nephews. \n\nIn addition to his father, he was preceded in death \nby one sister, Denise Doyle, one brother, Bobby \nDoyle.\n\nThere will be no public visitation.\n\nFuneral services will be private and at the \nconvenience of the family.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made \nto the Alzheimer's Association, 2835 E Carson St \nSuite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 or to the Glade Run \nLake Conservancy, Glade Run Lake Park, Lake Rd, \nValencia, PA 16059.
