Doris E. Seth, 93, of \nButler passed away at her residence on March 4, \n2019. She was born in Killbuck Ohio on June 10, 1925 \nto the late Ernest and Ella (Linder) Winkleman. She \nmoved to Butler at the age of seven, graduating from \nButler High School and then meeting her late husband \nHarry C. Seth Jr., whom she married on August 10, \n1945. Doris worked at the ARMCO Wheelworks office \nduring WWII from 1943 to 1945, then working at \nMontgomery Wards for 18 years managing the \nchildren's department. She and her husband also ran \nthe RC Preflight shop in Butler for ten years. \n\nMrs. Seth was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran \nChurch, bowled frequently in Sunrise and Spices \nbowling league and won a silver medal in the \nShippensburg Senior Olympics for Basketball. She \nalso was an adult literacy teacher for many years. \nLater in life, Doris also went on several mission \ntrips, two to Mexico, one to New Orleans to aid \nKatrina Victims, and one to Mississippi to help \nbuild a home for a displaced family after Katrina. \nShe also volunteered at Katie's Kitchen and Produce \nfor people in Butler.\n\nBesides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by \nher husband Harry C. Seth Jr., on March 25, 1996, \nthree sisters Erika Rivers, Ruth Logan, Herta \nWorsley and several nephews. \n\nDoris is survived by four sons, Barry J. Seth of \nWorthington; Gordon L. (Peggy) Seth of Aurora CO; \nDennis J. Seth of Jefferson Ohio; Eric L. (Nora) \nSeth of Julian PA; two daughters Anita L. (Joseph) \nNegley of Butler; Pamela E. (Scott) Covert of Grove \nCity; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 6 \ngreat great grandchildren; as well as numerous \nnieces and nephews. \n\nTo celebrate Doris's life a memorial service will be \nheld on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the \nSt. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, \nCabot PA 16023 with Pastor Barry Keurulainen \nofficiating.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, Doris requests memorial \ndonations be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 \nHannahstown Road, Cabot PA 16023, or the Butler \nHumane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew PA \n16053.\n\nDoris's children and family would like to extend \nappreciation to Dr. Chatta and her staff, Allegheny \nGeneral Visiting Nurses, Allegheny General Hospice \nGroup for all their compassion and care throughout \nher illness. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Pastor \nBarry, Pastor Ben, and Vicar Bocian for their \nvisits, love, support and prayers.
