Donna L. Oblack, 74, \nformerly of Valencia, died peacefully on Wednesday, \nAugust 10, 2022, in Cincinnati, OH.\n\nBorn in Pittsburgh on April 1, 1948, she was the \ndaughter of the late Harold M. and the late Mary \nJane (Truver) Oblack Moser. \n\nShe had a keen interest in science and earned B.S., \nM.S. and Ph.D. degrees in microbiology. She was \nretired from the Department of Veterans Affairs \nafter directing microbiology laboratories in medical \ncenters in Dayton, Philadelphia and Cincinnati. She \nwas a Volunteer Associate Professor in the \nDepartment of Pathology of the University of \nCincinnati School of Medicine. She was a member of \nGood Samaritan Lutheran Church in Cincinnati. She \nenjoyed hiking, music and reading, especially \nmysteries.\n\nSurviving are her sister-in-law, Gay (Paul) Oblack \nof Litchfield Park, AZ; niece Carrie (Oblack) \nCochran and her husband, Loren, & two great nephews; \ntwo step-bothers, David Moser and his wife, Nancy \nand Jerrold Moser and his wife, Deanna, and one \nstep-sister, Brenda Greenert and her husband Robert, \nall of Butler.\n\nMs. Oblack was preceded in death by her brother, \nPaul W. Oblack of Henderson, NV and nephew, Kevin M. \nOblack of Arlington, VA.\n\nBurial will take place in Glade Run Cemetery in \nValencia.\n\nMemorials are suggested to the Parkinson's \nFoundation, 1359 Broadway, Ste. 1509, New York, NY, \n10018.\n\nArrangements have been entrusted to Thompson-Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 E.
