Dolly M. Shook, 92, of \nChicora, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 31, \n2019 at the Chicora Medical Center. \n\nShe was born January 8, 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania \nto the late Cecil Addison Shook and the late \nMargaret Adams Shook. \n\nDolly worked as a housekeeper for many families in \nthe Butler Area. She was a member of North Main \nStreet Church of God. Dolly taught a Sunday School \nClass for children, and was a member of the 60+ \ngroup. She enjoyed art and crafts, word searches, \nmusic, going to church, reading her Bible. Dolly \nalso enjoyed collecting crosses and visiting her \nfavorite pet dogs Kloewee and Nico.\n\nShe is survived by three sisters, Margaret Fisher of \nGrove City, PA, Betty Elliott of Clintonville, PA, \nVelma Shook (Dolly's caregiver) of Chicora, PA; \nthree brothers, Carl (Lou) Shook of Butler, PA, Dale \n(Mary) Shook of West Sunbury, PA, and Dennis (Mary \nAnn) Shook of Butler, PA; one sister-in-law, Shirley \nShook of Butler, PA a number of nieces and nephews, \ngreat nieces and nephews and great great nieces and \nnephews. \n\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in \ndeath by two sisters, Doris Pearce,and infant \nsister, Shirley Shook, five brothers, Albert Shook, \nDon Shook, Melvin Shook, Cecil Shook, and Raymond \nShook.\n\nFriends will be received Thursday, September 5, \n2019, 12:00 (noon)- 1:00 pm at Thompson - Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, \nPA. Funeral services immediately following at 1:00 \npm with Pastor Brandon Lenhart, of North Main Street \nChurch of God, officiating.\n\nPrivate burial will take place in the West Sunbury \nUnion Cemetery.\n\nMemorial donations may be made to North Main Street \nChurch of God, 1201 North Main Street Extension, \nButler, PA 16001.
