Christian H. "Chris" Wilker, III Obituary (1952

Christian H. Wilker III, 61, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:37 a.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice. He was born December 30, 1952 in Grove City, Pennsylvania to the late Christian H. Wilker, Jr and Nellie E. (Cable) Wilker. Mr. Wilker worked as a truck driver for 34 years for Bakerstown Container Corp in Bakerstown, PA retiring in 2008. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Butler. He also enjoyed fishing, cars and woodworking. Mr. Wilker is survived by his wife Linda (Thompson) Wilker, whom he married on September 27, 1974; two daughters, Belinda Wilker and Christin Wilker, both of Butler, PA; one brother, David Wilker and his wife Liz of Rantoul, IL; two sisters, Donna Frasier and her husband Bert of Oxnard, CA and Cheryl Stich and her husband Rick of Portersville, PA; five nieces; eight nephews; and a number of great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Anna Mary Wilker. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam McNamara of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001 or to the Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
