Charles E. "Chuck" Freeman, \n91, of Cabot, Pennsylvania formerly of Butler, \nPennsylvania, passed away on September 22, 2018 at \nthe Concordia Lutheran Ministries. \n\nHe was born May 10, 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania to \nthe late Joseph Freeman and the late Nellie Fuhs \nFreeman. \n\nChuck was a graduate of Valley Forge Military \nAcademy. He went on to obtain his BS in Mechanical \nEngineering from Purdue University. Chuck worked as \nan Engineer and Manager for West Penn Power and \nFirst Energy at 4 power generation stations in \nWestern PA, retiring on September 1, 1990. He is a \nveteran of the US Army, having served in the \nMilitary Police in France and Germany during WWII. \nChuck was a member of St. Andrew's United \nPresbyterian Church and a life member of both the \nVFW Post #249 and American Legion Post #47. He \nenjoyed bowling and golf.\n\nHe is survived by his son, John B. Freeman and his \nwife Becky of Sugar Land, TX; two daughters, Ann \nDumbaugh and her husband Richard of Butler, PA, and \nKathryn Freeman-Jones and her husband Jeffery of \nMidlothian, VA; two grandchildren, Charles E. \nDumbaugh and his wife Jennifer, and Graham M. Jones \nand his wife Casey; and two great-grandchildren, \nMarek G. Dumbaugh and Hadley Grace Jones.\n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby his wife, Mary Lee Pollock Freeman, whom he \nmarried on December 27, 1949 and who passed away on \nMarch 13, 2014; one grandson; two brothers; and one \nsister.\n\nFriends will be received Saturday, September 29, \n2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Thompson - \nMiller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street \nButler, PA.\n\nFuneral services will be held immediately following \nat 2:30 p.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home \nInc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor \nMerry H. Meloy of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian \nChurch, officiating.\n\nPrivate burial will take place in the Butler County \nMemorial Park.\n\nMemorial donations are suggested to the Concordia \nLutheran Ministries Foundation, 134 Marwood Rd., \nCabot, PA 16023-2245 or to the Good Samaritan \nHospice, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023-2245\n.
