Catherine "Cathy" Mae Waldron, 74, of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 22, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital. \n\nBorn on April 30, 1949, in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Lois Patton. \n\nCatherine, fondly known as Cathy to her family and friends, was a proud and dedicated registered nurse who spent her career in healthcare. After graduating from Butler High School in 1968, she went on to earn her LPN, RN, and associate degree from Allegheny County and Butler Community College. She retired from Kane in 2012 after many years of devoted service.\n\nCathy was a vivacious woman who enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler. Cathy proudly served her country in the Army and touched countless lives with her compassionate and caring nature. \n\nShe is survived by her loving second husband and long-term caretaker, Dave Mitchell, as well as her son, Christopher Waldron, her brother Douglas Patton, her brother Arthur Patton, and her sister Phyllis Statzer. \n\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Patton. \n\nFamily and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.
