Carmella I. "Malena" Kuminkoski Obituary (1928

Carmella I. "Malena" Kuminkoski, 92 of Butler passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA. Born April 4, 1928 in East Brady, PA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Paulina (Conti) Albini. Carmella was a member of St Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler. She was a graduate of East Brady High School. Carmella enjoyed farming with her husband Benjamin and especially raising her chickens and selling eggs locally to friends and family. She loved cooking, especially Italian dishes. She also enjoyed baking. She took many trips to California to visit her son Tony and grandchildren. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an animal lover. Surviving are four daughters and three sons: Gloria Schwartz, Saxonburg; Ben Kuminkoski, Butler; Don Kuminkoski, Butler, Debra Kuminkoski, Butler, M.S.G. Anthony Kuminkoski (retired US Army) and Calandra L.Charging Eagle, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Valerie Fennell, Butler and Mary Senge and husband Eric, Butler; 13 grandchildren: Angela, Nicole, Chris, Carrie, Eric, Traci, Britny, Tony, Ashley, Korrey, Johnathon, Emily; 13 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband of 64 years, Benjamin T. Kuminkoski whom she married on June 21, 1952 and passed away on October 25, 2016. A granddaughter, Gabrielle Anthony. Three sisters, Modesta DiGiammarino, Jenny Galano and Lena Anthony. Three brothers, Lou Albini, Umberto Albini and Umbert Albini. There will be a private visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North Mckean St., Butler, PA 16001. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler, PA. Due to Covid-19 State Guidelines, visitors are required to supply their own and to wear a facial masks and adhere to social distancing. Groups are limited to 10 people inside. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Carmella to St Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean Street, Butler, PA 16001 or to the Butler Humane Society, 1015 Evans City road, Renfrew, PA 16053. Thompson-Miller Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.
