Bruce Allen \nPollock of Butler passed away on Tuesday morning in \nhis home at the age of 67.\n\nAn avid golfer, Bruce had a scratch handicap at 18 \nand was the captain of Grove City College's team his \nfreshman year. He continued his love of golf almost \nuntil his passing, playing 18 holes then falling \nasleep watching golf on TV. His family thought this \nwas ridiculous, but Bruce was always good for a \nlaugh. \n\nHe also loved his kids' colleges' football teams, \nprobably because he paid for the tuition. Virginia \nTech and The Wharton School at the University of \nPennsylvania were two of his passions. He was \nendlessly patient shuttling the kids to these \ninstitutions.\nHe is survived by his wife and best friend (a very \npatient woman obviously) Rita, his son Evan, his \ndaughter Sara, and his other (canine) daughter, \nPeaches, in addition to a sister, Kathy, and a \nnephew, Allen. \nHe is preceded in death by his father, Allen, his \nmother, Betty, and his beloved dog Churchill.\nFriends will be received Friday, November 15, 2019, \n2- 4 and 6- 8 pm at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, \nInc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.\n\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, November \n16, 2019, 11:00 am at the Thompson-Miller Funeral \nHome Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with \nPastor David Maitland of First Baptist Church \nofficiating.\n\nPrivate Entombment will take place in the Butler \nCounty Memorial Park.
