August "Augie" \nJ. Badali, 78, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away \nafter a courageous battle with leukemia on September \n12, 2019 at the UPMC Shadyside. \n\nHe was born January 1, 1941 in Allison Park, \nPennsylvania to the late August L. Badali and the \nlate Margaret Guiffre Badali. \n\nAugie started his teaching career at Karns City \nSchool District and retired as a Music Teacher from \nMoniteau School District in 1999. At Moniteau, he \ndirected the Chorus, the Elementary Bands, High \nSchool Marching bands and the Musicals. He loved to \ngo to car cruises in his 1959 Ford and enjoyed \ncollecting model trains. After retirement, he gave \nband lessons in Parochial Schools and also worked at \nthe Auto Auction.\n\nAugie is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie \nBadali, who he married on June 22, 1963; three sons, \nChristopher Badali of Harmony, PA, Bradley (Barbara) \nBadali of Herman, PA, Douglas (Cheryl) Badali of \nCamp Hill, PA; six grandchildren, Brianna Snyder, \nBrittany Badali, Benjamin Badali, Gabriel Badali, \nKaitlyn Badali, Madison Badali; one great \ngrandchild, Andrew Badali; and a few nieces and \nnephews. \n\nIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death \nby one sister, Mary Ann Willard.\n\nFriends will be received Monday, September 16, 2019, \nfrom 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at \nThompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North \nStreet Butler, PA.\n\nA blessing service will be held on Tuesday, \nSeptember 17, at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson - Miller \nFuneral Home, Inc. followed by a Christian Funeral \nMass at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Catholic Church, \n128 N. McKean St. Butler, PA, with Father Kevin \nFazio, officiating.\n\nEntombment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the \nMoniteau Instrumental Music Program, 1810 W. Sunbury \nRd, West Sunbury, PA 16061.
